WHAT IS A
TRAFFIC EXCHANGE?
A Traffic
Exchange is a type of script that allows you to surf
(view) other sites. Surfing is what you do to earn
credits.
That's why it is
called an 'exchange': you get credits for viewing other
sites, and other surfers view your sites in exchange for
credits. You can auto surf for massive hits( which
means the script continues to rotate site after site
automatically), or manual surf for forced page views by
human beings( which a person actually has to click on
the surfing image to go to next site) . Either way, you
generate traffic to your websites.
Traffic
exchanges not only allow your sites to be seen by human
eyes but also by the search engine robots. These
so-called robots index your page and any other links
that are connected to your site and record those for the
search engines. The search engines then in turn rate
your site based on many factors such as amount of
traffic to your site, key words and content of your
site.
Examples of
search engines may be Google, MSN, Yahoo, Ask Jeeves,
Alexa and many others.
The way
this works
If you have a
product you saw and cannot remember who offered this
product. All you do is type in the name of the product
in a search bar and the search engines will take you to
the most popular sites related to that product or
service.
That is why it
is so important for your site to be ranked high in the
search engine. When a search is done most people will
not check out sites on more than the first 2 or 3
pages, so for optimum exposure your site should be on
the first 2 or 3 pages. |
